I am married, and I have children. I have a daughter.

It has been nearly two years.

He is my grandfather.
Why did you come to Delhi?
Out of compulsion.
What work do you do?
I am on duty as a security guard.

Here I have been working for a month.
The money that you earn, is it enough?
No. It is not enough. It is far from enough.
Are you able to send some money to your family?
I can send one or two thousand for expenses. I can save that much only.
Had you ever done this kind of a job before? The job of a security guard?
No sir. I used to study earlier. After my studies I came here and did security duty.
Can you tell me something about your work? You are a security guard here, what kind of job do you have to do?
I have to keep an eye on the people coming in and going out, so that they may not take anything with them.
When you work, what do you think? What goes on in your mind?
Nothing, I only think about how my family will manage. I am getting such a small amount – how will my family proceed any further?
In your opinion, what would be a good job that you would like to do?
Whatever it is, if I start getting fifteen, twenty or twenty-five thousand, only then would it be possible to take care of my family and get them educated.
How do you like Delhi life?
It is good.
In your opinion, why do so many people from all over India come to Delhi to earn?
Only out of compulsion. They see that their family is not be taken care of properly due to poverty. That is why they come. There, they do not get anything to eat. So, they think that by coming here they can at least earn something, so that they can run their home and family properly.
